An Amanda Victoria Wedding Cake

Background and Experience

Amanda’s experience of the wedding industry spans more than 18 years. After studying at the prestigious London College of Fashion, she began making bespoke wedding gowns, alongside her employment as a dressmaker at Angels The Costumiers. Amanda was privileged to work with this prestigious costume house on a variety of productions, including the televised series of Agatha Christie's 'Poirot' and films such as 'Goldeneye', 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' and 'Titanic'.

In 1996, Amanda designed a range of handmade cards and sold them through various retail outlets including Selfridges in London and The Lynn Tait Gallery in Leigh-on-Sea.

Amanda taught fashion design at South East Essex College for six years, complemented by her continued private commissions for bespoke wedding gowns.

In 2002, Amanda opened her bridal shop, ‘Amanda Victoria’, in Leigh-on-Sea, providing bespoke wedding and bridesmaid gowns, accessories and stationery. She broadened her skills to include floristry and cake design and completed a course in sugarcraft in 2007. Amanda prides herself in her meticulous attention to detail, evident throughout her work.

Following her own wedding in 2009, Amanda now brings her wealth of experience to Chelmsford and specialises in providing a bespoke service of co-ordinated wedding stationery, favours, flowers and cakes to discerning brides.
